Emergence

To truly move into a time of greater humanity and deeper awakening, we must fully embrace our embodied divinity. Yes, be at one with the Divine, but also be fully present here, on this Earth, appearing as these flesh and blood forms, vibrantly alive and in deep relationship with all that is.

We cannot fully give our gifts until we are truly present here. Going for transcendence before we’re ready for it keeps us from being totally present and able to serve fully. I wrote this chant to celebrate how being deeply in touch with both our Spirit and our humanness allows us to claim our place on this planet completely. Birthing and emerging into a new Humanity…

Each one of the lines harmonizes with all of the others, so when I'm singing this live with a group of people, everyone can choose their favorite line or lines and sing them (or sing all of them), and they all easily and beautifully fit together. What a great, full, spiritually rich sound to be in the midst of!

I love how Stevin's arrangement of this brings together the earthy rhythm of the pulses of nature and the expansive harmonies of transcendent dimensions.

Emergence

(For celebrating who and what we really are)

Mother Earth is giving birth, giving birth to me
Mother Earth is giving birth, giving birth to me
I awaken and remember who I am
I awaken and remember who I am
I am the eyes and the ears, the hands and feet
I am the eyes and the ears, the hands and feet
Of Spirit moving upon the Earth
Of Spirit moving upon the Earth
I am the Beloved, I am the Beloved
I am the Beloved, I am the Beloved
